User trainings for ClinicalKey, UpToDate Advanced and Complete Anatomy databases, which are subscribed through Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. Durmuş Günay Library, were held face-to-face on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 13.30 at the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Kemal Karakaya Amphitheater and Meeting Hall.
Faculty of Medicine academic staff and students participated in the training. Within the scope of the event; Training on the introduction and use of ClinicalKey and UpToDate Advanced databases was given by Training Director Bülent Karacan; Complete Anatomy database training was given by Product Manager Duygu Bir. Participants had the opportunity to get detailed information about the contents of the databases, clinical decision support systems, 3D anatomy applications and practical usage suggestions. At the end of the trainings, an interactive environment was created by answering the questions of the participants.
Prof. Dr. Hande Aydemir, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güneş Çakmak Genç, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chair of the Pre-Graduation Education Commission, took an active role in cooperation with the library and offered their support in organizing the training. Speaking at the end of the training, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Hande Aydemir expressed her satisfaction by stating that the databases were very useful for users and thanked Osman Demir, Head of Library and Documentation Department, Ayşegül Tok, School Secretary of Çaycuma Civil Aviation School, Ayşegül Karataş, Librarian Ayşegül Karataş and company representatives who contributed to the organization.
Osman Demir, Head of the Library and Documentation Department, made the following statements at the end of the event: "It is our responsibility not only to provide access to information resources but also to teach the effective use of these resources.
